Report to: School Manager and Administration Director
Job Summary: The IT Support Officer will provide day-to-day, support to students and staff in their use of IT hardware and software. This position will be based on the academic support department, resolving end-user issues and carrying out administrative tasks in support of the school's Technology for learning implementation. The IT Support Officer is responsible for the strategic planning, implementation and operation of all IT and communication services used throughout the school and to manage technical personnel, ensuring effective deployment to provide a high-quality service.
Main Responsibilities:
• Provide an effective IT support service for students and staff.
• Support the use of Windows, OS X / macOS by staff
• Support student and staff use of the school's Google Apps (G Suite) domain and applications (including Chrome browser) and carry out administrative operations as necessary (e.g. e-mail, password changes, account management).
• Installing and configuring computer hardware operating system and application.
• Installing, monitor and basic maintain school printer, do basic training for user and contact printer supplier if needed
• Troubleshooting computer and network problems and diagnosing and solving hardware or software faults including CCTV, internet and WIFI.
• Support student and staff use of a range of applications and online resources for teaching and learning.
• Diagnose and resolve end-user issues, escalating them to 3rd party support as appropriate.
• Liaise with external suppliers/support to coordinate efficient warranty repairs as necessary.
• Assist in supporting the use of ICT and AV equipment and peripherals for curriculum purposes within the school.
• Update and manage IT inventory lists relating to staff and student laptops/devices.
• Work with third-party vendors and solution providers as needed to support areas of responsibility i.e. backup web site data, web site/wordpress patch maintenance.
General:

4. Good aptitude and troubleshooting skills, Responsible and flexible
5. MUST have good command of English, spoken and written
