Role Responsibilities
Accountable to upper management for all matters relating to Health and Safety in the activities under his or her control.
Ensure that all staff under his/her control fully understands and follows the requirements of the company health and safety policy.
Must be conversant with the contents of Health and Safety Policy as well as any legal provisions in term of Health and Safety that may apply to activities under his or her control.
Ensures that all employees under his or her control are notified of, trained in, fully understand and implement the requirement of Health and Safety Policy.
Assesses the safety performance of his or her areas of responsibility by undertaking regular safety inspections in all areas of the workplace.
Ensures that hazards are identified and remedial action is taken to remove them and where necessary bringing the matter to attention of upper manager.
Ensures that training programs in relevant to Health and Safety are being carried out.
Ensure that all staffs under his/her control fully understands and follows the requirements of the company health and safety policy and OHSAS 18001 standard.
Role Requirements
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Occupational Health and Safety or related field.
Solid work experience at least 10 - year experience in occupational health and safety, environmental in workplace and minimum of 5 years management level.
Experienced in implement safety projects.
Ability to ensure compliance to applicable HSE laws, guidelines, policies, procedures and practices.
Ability to exercise flexibility, initiative, good judgment and discretion in handling confidential materials and matters.
Strong written and verbal communication, interpersonal and customer - service skill.
Lead HSAM team to comply with HSE standard and regulation including facilitate to build up safety culture.
