Objectives of the Position
Responsible for an overall product development, technical service and QC to support construction chemicals business Main Tasks Product development and Technical Service
Lead local product development in conjunction / co-ordination with regional technical management and direction.
Cost efficient and competitive product performance to support marketing and business opportunities
Provide technical service and expertise to customers
Handle customer complaints in co-ordination with salespersons.
Lead product development to successfully secure admixture tender contracts.
Customer development to understand market trends and industry challenges.
Supervising and developing technical service team
Development of independent and reliable technicians who are able to conduct lab tests and product trials, troubleshoot and service customers effectively
Conduct training and skills coaching of technicians.
Ensure performance of dispensing unit stalled at customer sites are in good conditions, maintained properly to meet customer requirement.
Quality Control
Implement standards processes and test methods
Ensure full adherence to the QC procedures
Maintain records and statistics and analyse results
Development of independent and skilled QC technicians to handle non-conformance batches and daily QC operation
Liaison
Be the ambassador of the company representing in various technical forums, groups, associations and govt standard making bodies.
Cost management
Reduce cost through using new raw materials without compromising quality and performance of products
Identify raw material substitution and its sources through coordination with Operations Manager and Procurement
Support preparation of the cost estimates of the Bill of Materials (BOM) and conduct performance analysis.
Test raw materials and obtain approval from Sub-regional Technical Manager
Confidentiality of IP
Maintain confidentiality of information eg BOM, PMR and raw material database
100% compliance to non-disclosure of any confidential and proprietary information
Minimum Education and Qualification Required for the Position
Education: A degree in Engineering or Civil Engineer or related engineering field Working
Experience: +10 years in related field.
Technical & Professional Knowledge: Technical knowlegde and experience in related filed. Good presentation and negotiation skills, English, Computer, SAP
