Duties and Responsibilities: 
Maintain databases and related data pipelines. 
Design and build efficient database solutions, which includes improving existing database infrastructure.
Automate database processes and implement unit tests to ensure data quality and integrity. 
Build solutions to efficiently extract and transform data from different sources to support investment research.  
Monitor and fine tune database performances for our front-end internal investment platform. 
Develop scalable code in Python which contributes to our proprietary Python libraries.  
Opportunity to work on data science projects for investment analysis.
Requirements: 
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, related field or equivalent experience. 
Experience with PostgreSQL and Amazon Redshift architecture, configuration and administration. 
Fluent with SQL language and able to create views/functions and aggregate results from SQL queries.  
Ability to diagnose root causes of database issues and optimize its performance. 
Good understanding of AWS services (S3, EC2, Lambda, SQS, Elastic) and relevant experience developing ETL processes using AWS Data Pipeline. 
Experience of writing effective, scalable code in Python. Familiarity with Numpy and Pandas is highly valued. 
Great problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
Self-starter and have a passion for continuous learning. 
Highly Desired: 
Good understanding of Git version control system. 
Experience with financial data vendors such as Bloomberg and Capital IQ is highly desirable.
Good communication in English.
