As a Competitor Analyst & Procurement Specialist at Micron Technology, Inc. you provide critical data and services to Micron's competitive benchmarking teams! In this role, you provide valuable technical insight through research of competitor technology releases, monitoring of competitor product offerings, and collection of industry intelligence data. You actively collaborate with internal and external partners to share and learn new industry intelligence. You also provide buyer-role support of the product procurement efforts of Micron's Competitor Analysis team. You use market knowledge and industry intelligence to make procurement decisions that give timely access to ground breaking competitive memory technologies. You are also responsible for crafting, maintaining and handling the investigative process related to the tracking of competitor products and technologies.
Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
Memory Market Research and Competitive Intelligence Data Collection
Identify and use appropriate data sources and systems
Develop strategic research solutions through collaboration with internal and external partners
Analyze data and intelligence for competitive benchmarking purposes
Document and share findings with internal partner groups
Active participation in benchmarking working groups
Competitor Memory Product Procurement
Utilize market knowledge and industry intelligence to support procurement decisions
Lead inventory database and want-list
Maintain positive and effective relationships with suppliers for discovery of competitor product availability
Execute product orders and provide buyer-role support
Analyze purchasing data for cost saving and process improvement opportunities
Minimum Qualifications:
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Excellent interpersonal skills
Pro-active with outstanding multitasking and organizational skills
Effective problem solving and analytical skills
Basic familiarity with electronics and memory technologies is helpful
Preferred:
Education
A.S. or B.S. (Electronics, Semiconductor Tech, or Related Field)
Meaningful experience will be considered in lieu of education qualifications
At least one year of experience in any of the following:
Semiconductor/Memory Technology
Business/Market Intelligence
Procurement
SAP, Ariba
