Job Description
 
Ensures that all items of the company’s inventory are all accounted for and that no company losses or opportunity costs are attributable to inventory issues such as but not limited to shrinkage, theft, delays, and overstocking.
 
Role and Responsibilities
Ensures that the entire organization and each branch unit has the optimum level of stocks at any given time.
Coordinates with the Purchasing Department in ordering Inventory Items to avoid inefficiencies or excessive surplus.
Maintains accurate and timely inventory documentation. He or she must ensure the accurate recording of the quality, quantity, category, and any other characteristics of the inventory.
Maintains a running tally of each inventory item of the entire organization and each branch unit.
Prepares detailed and regular reports on inventory operations, stock levels, and adjustments.
Coordinates with the Branch Operations Supervisors (BOS) in the conduct of monthly actual physical count of the inventory items in the branch.
Coordinates with the Warehouse Supervisor in the conduct of weekly actual physical count of the inventory items in the Main Warehouse (Mandaue Hub).
Reconciles the actual inventory level per physical count and the balance per system. Recommends adjustments, if necessary.
Establishes the correct inventory level of the company and each branch unit every reporting period.
Detects and reports on a timely manner inventory issues such as but not limited to shrinkage, theft, delays, and overstocking.
Perform daily analysis to identify and predict potential inventory problems.
Recommends effective and efficient policies, systems, and means in managing the company’s inventory.
Ensures the overall execution of the policies, systems, and means in managing the company’s inventory from the organization level up to the branch level.
Performs other tasks related to the position as may be designated by the Accounting Manager.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
College graduate degree required.
Has basic knowledge in Inventory Management such as but not limited to stocking, tracing, and reporting.
Proficient in using basic computer tools (Excel, Word, Powerpoint).

Has strong communication skills-- oral and written.
Has good analytical and numeracy skills.
Eager to learn and willing to undertake relevant seminars and training.
Willing to travel, if necessary.
