Thales is supplying ground transportation solutions to the main and urban rail lines in the area of signalling and fare collection.
A week in the life of a NOC Engineer:
Offer support and technical assistance to customers who are using software, hardware, or other computer systems and need help completing tasks or troubleshooting problems through diagnostic tests and remote access to their computers.
Responding to queries via chat, email, or phone
Training other staff members on troubleshooting and diagnosing problems
Writing, editing, and revising training manuals for new and updated software and hardware
Providing technical assistance for questions and problems
Resolving problems with networks and other computer systems
Diagnosing system errors and other issues
Following up with customers to ensure full resolution of issues
Requesting feedback and/or monitoring calls and other methods of correspondence to improve training methods
Running reports to analyses common complaints and problems
Manage the internal infrastructure by sizing the system, challenging the technological and equipment choice and proposing the more efficient and cost effective way to answer the internal PSD requirements
Support the Operation Manager for the system part of the solution
Requirements:
Master's degree in Information Technology or Computer Science
2 to 5 years’ or more experience in IT/Network/Security administration, deployment or operation (engineer)
5 to 10 years’ or more experience in IT/Network/Security administration, deployment or operation (expert)
Experience in customer project activity (Professional Services)
Experience in operation / production environment
Thai and English speakers (Thai citizen if possible)
