We are urgently looking for:
 
OSP O&M ENGINEER
 
Qualifications:
3 years and above experience in related field of work specializing in Fiber and OSP maintenance and/or implementation/engineering
5 years and above experience in Telecommunications
Broad familiarization of the topological features of Visayas and/or South Luzon
In-depth understanding of FOC Operations and Maintenance
Knowledgeable in the use of Fiber Optic Testing Tools and Equipment
Knows how to use Optical Time-Domain Reflectrometer, Optical Power Meter, Visual Fault Locator and the like
Knowledgeable with Fiber Optic Restoration Procedure
Knows how to analyze FOC Plans and OSP Engineering Standards (As-built Plan, Trunking Diagram, Joint Connections, Network Topology and the like)
Has worked with a Philippine Telecoms Operator but is not required
OSP & FOC Certifications is an advantage
Maintains records of all fiber cable splicing and topology
Develops mitigation and restoration procedures for emergency conditions
Adheres to the industry standard regarding construction and maintenance of the entire OSP structure
Willing to be assigned in Cebu or Lipa on a 24x7 On-Call Work Arrangement
Assumes full responsibility for the safety and security of the existing OSP facility
Determines the scope, budget, and schedules for existing and new OSP projects
Submits weekly project status reports to the reporting managers
Follows engineering standards and work as per market engineering specifications
Develops aerial and underground fiber route maps and executes tasks such as route analysis
Executes tasks such as maintenance analysis (Preventive, Corrective and Reactive)
Assumes charge of fiber optic verification and all cable route mapping activities
Possesses proper knowledge of CAD and other software applications used to create engineering designs
Inspects OSP networks
Knows how to create and execute MOPs
Grants the proper permissions to execute OSP projects
Guides junior employees to achieve projects goals
Mindful of achieving target KPI (MTTR, Incident Reduction, etc.)
Attains target deadline based on agreed SLA
