The Opportunity:
Receivable Collections function within Credit Risk & Collections team is responsible for collection of payments against invoices for various products offered to our partners by Agoda. It also provides analytical support for collections including managing bespoke MIS and reporting requirements to optimize Agoda's collections.
The Receivable Collections team is looking to backfill a Senior Analyst to be based out of Bangkok, Thailand. As a Senior Analyst, you will be responsible for several analytical and reporting activities for the Collections function as well as project managing diverse initiatives to help automation, data gathering and data-based decision making by the function.
This will be an Individual contributor role and will be required to work in close coordination with different stakeholders across Agoda.
In this Role, you'll get to:
Lead several analytical and reporting activities for the Receivable Collections function including extraction of data, preparation of various performance reports and dashboards on a regular basis to help with benchmarking and data driven decision making.
Lead several operational activities including initiation of Direct Debit workflows, supporting diverse collections requirements as needed and owning and improving pre-due collection processes to optimize collection rate through scalable solutions including sending out dunning reminders to select partners.
You should be able to interpret and quickly learn new processes/ workflows getting assigned to the team, and design and circulate reports to measure related impact and efficiency.
Take the lead in implementation of various collection projects. Work closely in liaison with product, IT, business and other stakeholders to help execute roadmap and backend processes.
You would be responsible for preparing periodic reports that measure the efficiency and productivity of the Receivables Collections team
You should be able to deliver analytical based collection strategy and actions through testing to refine and increase the collection productivity and effectiveness.
You should possess excellent communication and influencing skills, as well as an ability to work independently on various projects aimed at maximizing collections and reducing bad debts for the organization.
As one of the operational leads, you should be actively seeking to improve policies, processes, procedures, and workflows. You should be able to approach challenges in a passionate, innovative and decisive manner
You should function as an effective member of the team, assisting co-workers as needed, sharing best practices, and learning from colleagues and supervisors, supporting the goals of the department, managing various projects as mandated from time to time and demonstrate initiatives in the long-term interest of Agoda.
What you'll Need to Succeed:
Minimum 4+ years of overall work experience. Finance experience would be preferred.
Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite including Excel and Microsoft VBA Skills
Knowledge of SQL, Metabase or Tableau would be highly advantageous.
Ability to work independently and to adapt to a fast-paced working environment.
Must be target-oriented and able to meet deadlines.
Must be extremely confident, proactive and take personal ownership of task completions.
Good project management skills with the ability to influence stakeholders and conceptualize requirements.
Should be a team-player and able to work well with colleagues from diverse backgrounds.
This role would be based out of Bangkok, Thailand
