Key Responsibilities:
Install and maintain the performance of database server.
Develop processes for optimizing database security, manage database access, and assist in database design.
Set and maintain database standards and install, upgrade and manage database applications.
Manage database access
Performance tuning of database systems
Diagnose and troubleshoot database errors.
Recommend and implement emerging database technologies.
Create and manage database reports, visualizations, and dashboards.
Create automation for repeating database tasks.
Setting up and testing new database and data handling systems.
Monitoring database efficiency and evaluating database software purchases.
Sustaining the security and integrity of data.
Assisting creating complex query definitions that allow data to be optimally extracted.
Supervision of modifications to any existing database software to meet the needs of the project.
Responsibility for maintaining the integrity and performance of customer databases.
Informing end users of changes in databases and train them to utilize systems.
Be available for on-call support as needed
Reporting to Infra Manager
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field.
Minimum 3 years of experience in database administration, information technology, database architecture, or a related field.
Experience with Linux and Windows Server environments.
Extensive experience with database technologies (No SQL (Main Skills), MongoDB, Elasticsearch, Redis,).
Experience with cloud services (GCP, AWS, Microsoft Azure) a plus.
Experience administering complex (enterprise-level) SQL Server environments.
Experience with production support (Not required 24/7)
Up-to-date knowledge of the technology industry
Good command speaking & writing in English
Strong conceptual and analytical skills - demonstrating outside-the-box problem solving skills.
Knowledge of database security, backup and recovery, and performance monitoring standards.
Understanding of relational and dimensional data modeling.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Core database administration skills (day-to-day administration, configuration).
